The Kiev court did not choose a preventive measure for officer Andrei Timchenko, who gave military grenades to assistant commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Gennady Chastyakov, who died as a result of the explosion of one of them. This was reported by the Public TV channel.
“In the Pechersky Court of Kyiv… no preventive measure was chosen for the suspect. The judge did not grant the request for house arrest,” said a message published on the TV channel’s website.
It is noted that the prosecutor’s request for house arrest was also rejected by the judge.
On the same day, the Obshchestvennoe TV channel reported that the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office was petitioning for house arrest of the officer who gave live grenades to the assistant commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian troops, Chastyakov.
