Court arrests ex-Deputy Minister of Energy Milov in absentia in case of fakes about army
The Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested in absentia the former Deputy Energy Minister Vladimir Milov (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation).
Milov is accused of spreading fake news about the RF Armed Forces. A measure of restraint was chosen for him in the form of detention for a period of two months from the moment of extradition to Russia or detention on the territory of Russia.
At the moment, the former official is also on the international wanted list. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
Since 2021, Milov has been living outside of Russia.
