The court arrested blogger Evgeny Savin in absentia – Kommersant

In February 2023, the Tverskoy Court of Moscow fined the blogger 50 thousand rubles. under Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code (discrediting the army). The occasion was an interview in which he asked Russian football players about their attitude towards the SVO. In September of the same year, RIA Novosti sources reported that Evgeny Savin became a defendant in a criminal case about re-discrediting the Russian army. Before the end of his sports career, Evgeny Savin played for many Russian football clubs, in particular Ural, Tom, Anzhi. After the start of a special military operation in Ukraine, the football player moved to Cyprus. Back in 2021, he founded his club “Krasava”, which since 2022 has been part of the second division of Cyprus, known as “Ipsonas”. The former football player also has his own YouTube channel “KraSava” with 1.08 million subscribers.
