The young mathematician is guilty of not checking who he made the deal with
The Zelenograd court in Moscow took into custody 19-year-old Islam Aliyarov, a mathematician and one of the youngest crypto bloggers. He is suspected of fraud.
As MK learned, this story began a year ago, when the widow of a Northern Military District veteran, Lyudmila Galyamina, became a victim of swindlers. Telephone scammers defrauded her of 20 million rubles, including money paid to her for her deceased husband. The investigation established that the scammers operated from the territory of Ukraine.
It turned out that with part of the stolen funds (500 thousand rubles), the scammers bought electronic currency from cryptocurrency trader Aliyarov. According to lawyers, this is a classic case, which is designated by the special term “triangle” – when criminals pay with stolen money. In total, the attackers made more than 20 purchases, including the purchase of cryptocurrency from Aliyarov. However, the investigation decided that he was also part of a criminal chain, and sent him to a pre-trial detention center.
His uncle, a high-ranking employee of the Russian Guard, is interceding for his nephew, who believes that the boy is a great talent and has never done anything like this. At the same time, according to lawyers, today every cryptocurrency seller can become a victim of scammers. It turns out that a seller who does not identify the criminals automatically falls under criminal prosecution.
