The Syktyvkar city court appointed an examination of the words of Komi head Vladimir Uiba (United Russia), who in May called State Duma deputy from the Communist Party Oleg Mikhailov a “new fascist”. This follows from the information in card cases on the website of the court. The communist filed a lawsuit for the protection of honor, dignity and business reputation back in the spring.
Specialists will have to analyze the direct speech of the governor and determine whether what was said is a direct insult. This is how Mr. Mikhailov qualifies the statement about himself.
Recall that we are talking about a voice message that Vladimir Uyba sent to one of the residents of the republic in a messenger. “I congratulate you on the Great Holiday of our Victory, the victory over the fascists and over such new fascists, which is Mr. Mikhailov,” the governor said. “All of them have an aspen stake on their graves. Thank God that our grandfathers once defeated the Nazis. Now we will defeat the neo-fascists too.”
