The Khabarovsk Regional Court upheld the acquittal of the artist Yulia Tsvetkova (recognized by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation as an individual – foreign media agent), the cancellation of which was demanded by the prosecutor’s office. This was announced in social networks by the mother of the artist.
As clarifies Fontanka, Tsvetkova was accused of distributing pornography. The case against her was opened in 2019 on the basis of the fact of posting drawings on social networks in the “Vagina Monologues” group. The publication indicates that it was about abstract images of the female body.
The prosecutor’s office demanded that the artist be sentenced to three years in prison, but the Central District Court of Komsomolsk-on-Amur acquitted her on exonerating grounds. This decision of the court was challenged by the prosecutor’s office, but today it was upheld by a higher court.
