The country is multifaceted and interactive: the exhibition-forum “Russia” opened at VDNKh

The exhibition-forum “Russia”, dedicated to the country’s achievements in recent years, started in Moscow on the territory of VDNKh. Especially for the beginning of the event, the main pavilion of this exhibition space, which had been under renovation for many years, was opened. 89 regions of our country and the largest companies present their successes at the forum. Their pavilions are adjacent to the sites of the Coordination Center of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and other departments. Designed to become a center for cooperation between specialists and a point of attraction for everyone who wants to learn more about our country, the exhibition-forum “Russia” combines loyalty to traditions and aspirations for the future. This is conveyed through the juxtaposition of Soviet monumental architecture with new interactive pavilions, where multimedia shows are held, the latest technical innovations are exhibited, and excursions are organized where they talk about the successes of Russian science. The main achievements of Russia are collected in 131 expositions. The forum provides an educational program that includes lectures, seminars, round tables, participation in quizzes and many other useful entertainments.

The level of technology and achievements presented at the exhibition can be demonstrated by the example of the opening of the Rosneft pavilion, which took place on November 4. It was built according to the author’s design project. Its exhibition includes interactive zones demonstrating the history of the development of the oil industry in the USSR and modern Russia, stories about the formation of the country’s energy industry and the company itself. Here you can see unique exhibits; in the circular cinema, guests of the pavilion can watch an educational film about the development of oil production from Soviet times to the present. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a central installation. This is a real art object – an LED flexible screen in the form of a drop of oil, which “comes to life” with images: short videos about the work of the largest oil company are shown directly on it. Russia. Under the drop there is a floor LED screen, included with it in a single composition.

Guests of the pavilion can also look at photographs, get acquainted with the company’s innovative developments, attend master classes, lectures and other events. For young people there is a play area where it is possible to drive a racing car through game simulators located around a real Lada Vesta. On the first day of the international exhibition and forum “Russia”, the pavilion was visited by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak.

He noted that Russia is in no way inferior to Western companies in terms of innovation, scientific developments, new technologies and equipment. He also added that the absolute leader in the oil industry on these issues is the Rosneft company. “The entire chain from science to the introduction of new technologies is implemented here,” noted Alexander Novak.

Secretary of State – Deputy Minister of Energy Anastasia Bondarenko spoke at the opening ceremony of the site. She noted that the Russia Forum will go down in history because it revives the best traditions of our country, which has done so much and must present its achievements so that everyone can experience a real sense of pride in how the domestic economy, industry, and agriculture work. “The forum will tell about the great past of our country, show the power and scale of Russia now and, of course, the huge potential for future generations,” Bondarenko emphasized during her speech. — And the Rosneft company is a technological leader in the industry, which sets guidelines not only for many other companies, but for entire industries. Think about it: the company employs more than 300 thousand people. It is present in all regions of our country and beyond, so it is not just a sought-after employer, but also a very recognizable and one of the most worthy brands of Russia abroad.”

Rosneft Vice President Natalya Mincheva emphasized during her speech that today the company produces about 6% of the world’s oil. Over 30 years, the volume of production of this raw material has increased 18 times and today exceeds 200 million tons per year. Such volumes make the company one of the largest taxpayers in our country. Today, every sixth ruble that ends up in the Russian state treasury comes from the activities of this corporation. “The total volume of taxes and payments by the company to the federal budget over the past 25 years has increased 500 times and reached 4 trillion rubles at the end of 2022,” said Mincheva. — New unique fields have been discovered: the Zhukov gas field and the Rokossovsky gas condensate field on the Kara Sea shelf. The unique West Irkinskoye field was discovered on the Taimyr Peninsula.” The vice president of Rosneft paid special attention to the company’s new projects, which are also presented in the pavilion. In particular, the development of a new oil and gas province in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory is in full swing – this is the Vostok Oil project with a resource base of 6.5 billion tons of premium low-sulfur oil. Its implementation will allow Russia to increase its GDP by 2% annually, Mincheva emphasized.

However, visitors to the pavilion have the opportunity to feel like oil workers and produce their own barrels of hydrocarbons in virtual space, but taking into account the physics of the real world, that is, like in a real field. The spaces “Colors of Oil” and “Made of Oil” are located opposite each other. Colors of Oil is a kinetic installation of flasks containing oil samples. Decorative containers move along a pre-programmed trajectory. In front of the flasks there is an interactive control screen containing detailed information about the presented samples.

The pavilion is surrounded by a themed environment with swings and benches for relaxation. There is also a creative installation with polar bears and this is not just decoration. The fact is that the oil company has been taking care of these polar inhabitants for more than 10 years. To date, the company maintains 31 polar bears in 16 zoos across the country, allocating funds for adequate feeding, care, treatment, renovation of enclosures, as well as scientific research and educational programs.

Near the site you can find a photo zone, an all-season slide with tubing, a video cube and large screens on which interesting videos and event announcements are broadcast.

The sites of other large companies, federal ministries and regions also strive to surprise guests of the Russia Forum with their projects. Thus, in the pavilion of the Coordination Center of the Government of the Russian Federation, its real work site was recreated on a reduced scale. Guests of the exhibition have a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the specifics of the work of the Russian Cabinet of Ministers. And at the stand of the Perm region, for example, the first domestic humanoid robot Ardi was presented. The forum organizers said that within the framework of the exhibition, more than 500 excursions on a variety of topics will take place daily, so that any guest will be able to find something useful for themselves. The Russia Forum will last 161 days: until April 12, 2024.
