The Lenin collective farm announced the amount of damage caused due to the emergency landing of the plane in a wheat field. The airbus, which flew from Sochi to Omsk, is still located on the territory of a collective farm near the village of Kamenka in the Novosibirsk region. The liner was surrounded by a fence. There are no plans to evacuate him from the field anytime soon.
Representatives of Ural Airlines admit the possibility that the A320 that made an emergency landing will take off on its own. Experts confirmed that the engine is fine.
We contacted employees of the Lenin collective farm, who have been monitoring traffic around the airbus for almost a month.
– Now a two-meter fence made of galvanized corrugated sheets has been installed around the aircraft. A special crane arrived, the airliner was lifted, and the chassis was checked. At the moment the chassis is on sleepers, not on the ground. Now specialists are working there, once again looking at the engine,” said a collective farm employee.
According to the interlocutor, the plane will remain in the field until frost hits.
– Yesterday we finished harvesting wheat around the plane. After which representatives of the airline contacted us and clarified what our next steps would be.
We said: we will plow. They strongly asked not to do this. They told us to give them prices so that we would not touch the land.
The field itself is small, only 60 hectares, so it turns out that we won’t be able to plow it all. If we don’t plow now, then next year we won’t be able to sow anything. Because the weed will remain, the earth will be beaten down.
In this case, to prepare the land for sowing, we will need twice as much expenses. If the airline agrees to compensate for the damage, we will stop work. The amount is not very large, 1.4 million rubles. This is our lost profit. We calculated this amount based on the current year’s harvest. For now, airline representatives took time to think.
If work is suspended, then collective farm workers may have to be temporarily sent home.
“Everyone is working now,” says a collective farm employee. – The airline is weighing the pros and cons of whether we should pay. What if the plane doesn’t take off? As we understand, no final decision has been made to evacuate the liner.
