Rapper Oxxxymiron, who left Russia shortly after the start of the special operation in Ukraine, released a new video, and filmed it in St. Petersburg. Two hours after the release of the video on the Internet, it became known that the Investigative Committee had complained about it.
The Call of the People association, which calls itself a “public movement for the revival of Russia, its traditions and culture,” published a copy of the appeal addressed to the chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin on the social network. In the statement, the activists remind that “abroad, the musician gave concerts in support of Ukraine” and that “in August, the Moscow prosecutor demanded that the artist’s tracks be recognized extremist“. Also, the public reminded that earlier in Russia there was canceled premiere of the film based on the novel by Viktor Pelevin “Empire V”, where Oksimiron also played.
“The question is, what is this person doing in Russia? – the activists write to Bastrykin. – He spoke out against the country, supports our enemies.”
They point out that in his new track “Oida” the rapper said hello to the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor General’s Office, and there is also this line: “Our flag has white snow and a blue river.” According to the applicants, Oksimiron alludes to the white-blue-white “flag of traitors” in this way.
Bastrykin and the Investigative Committee are asked to check Miron Fedorov “for the presence of actions directed against Russia,” and his new video for extremism.
According to available data, the rapper specially returned to the Russian Federation for the filming of the video in early September. Whether he is still in Russia is unknown.
