President of the Osnova group Alexander Ruchev said at the Eastern Economic Forum that the company plans to create a unique city in the Trans-Baikal Territory on an area of 1000 hectares, which is called “Chita 2.0”. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

This ambitious project, according to Ruchev, appeared thanks to cooperation between the regional authorities, business clusters, and scientific and technical centers.

The innovative concept of the city “Chita 2.0” provides for two types of development: low-rise, not exceeding 3 floors in height, along the periphery, as well as high-rise development in the center, creating a unique architectural appearance of the future city.

Some partners have already expressed interest in the project. Ruchev said that a company from China, one of the largest construction firms, is discussing the possibility of participating in the project.

The first phase of the project will require an impressive investment of 30 billion rubles. “Chita 2.0” promises to transform the Trans-Baikal Territory and become one of the key projects in the development of the region.
