The Voronezh region will not host the Chernozem rock festival, which was supposed to take place in the summer of 2024, the press service of the regional government reported. According to sources “Kommersant-Chernozemye”the festival is canceled due to high security costs and a lack of available rock bands.
“Chernozem” has been held since 2015. For the first four years, the rock festival was held in the Tambov region; in 2020 and 2021 it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2023, “Chernozem” took place from August 18 to 20, and was visited daily by 10 thousand people from different Russian regions. Last year’s festival featured about 30 concerts.
