The Poltava checkpoint, located on the border of Russia and China, which was closed after the August typhoon Hanun, will resume operation by December, said Primorye Governor Oleg Kozhemyako at a meeting with the first secretary of the Communist Party of China Committee of Heilongjiang Province Xu Qin and the provincial governor Liang Huiling, reports Telegram channel heads of the Russian region.

The Poltavka checkpoint had to be closed on August 11 – due to bad weather caused by Typhoon Hanun, it was impossible to get to the border crossing. After the restoration of the checkpoint, the checkpoint still did not work, cargo flows were transferred to other border crossings, RIA Novosti reported with reference to the acting head of the Federal Customs Service Ruslan Davydov.

As a result of precipitation due to the typhoon on August 12, an unfinished dam in Primorye was broken. In the “Seven Winds” microdistrict in Ussuriysk, 5 apartment buildings, 2 educational institutions and more than 15 permanent garages in the area of Razdolnaya Street were flooded. Damage to citizens is estimated at at least 39 million rubles.

Earlier, in September, the director of the municipal government institution “Single Customer-Developer Service” (MKU SEZZ) Dmitry Bobrysh and his deputy Anna Tokarskaya were placed under house arrest. According to the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for Primorye, they were charged with exceeding official powers (clause “c” of Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to the investigation, the managers of MKU SEZZ did not properly monitor the progress of work on the dam by the contractor company. In October, Spets Dor Stroy LLC, the contractor for the construction of the dam, fined by 9 million rubles.
