The Chechen Ombudsman called the attack on Milashina and Nemov a diversion against the republic

Chechen Ombudsman Mansur Soltaev called the attack on lawyer Alexander Nemov and journalist Yelena Milashina in Grozny “a subversive provocation against the republic.”

“It was a daring, subversive provocation against the republic. I think the internal affairs authorities will figure it out, we will monitor the situation,” said Mr. Soltaev “RIA News”.

The Ombudsman also said that Elena Milashina was fully examined and “everything is fine with her.”
