Ministry of Health: Evgenia Kotova was appointed the new Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation
Evgenia Kotova has been appointed as the new Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation. In the press service of the department, it is specified that she will oversee the obstetric service, mental and public health issues.
It is noted that Kotova has extensive experience in managerial work in regional government bodies. She also headed the National Accreditation Institute of the FedAccreditation Agency.
Since March 2020, she has been working at the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation – Kotova has held the positions of Advisor to the Minister and Director of the Department for Monitoring, Analysis and Strategic Development.
Kotova in her new position will be responsible for organizing child care, obstetric services, as well as mental and public health issues.
Oleg Salagai, who previously held the position, was appointed Secretary of State – Deputy Minister of Health of Russia. Now, as noted in the press service of the Ministry of Health, he will be responsible for legislative work and international cooperation.
Personnel orders were signed by Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.
