The Central Federal District championship in rhythmic gymnastics is taking place in Tula

On Saturday, January 20, the opening ceremony of the Central Federal District (CFD) championship in rhythmic gymnastics took place in the armory capital. This was reported by the press service of the government of the Tula region.

The event was attended by the head of the regional Ministry of Sports, Dmitry Yakovlev. He greeted the competition participants and noted that the Tula region, with the support of Governor Alexei Dyumin, is actively developing sports.

According to Yakovlev, modern sports facilities are being built throughout the region and everything possible is being done to popularize this type of activity. The minister calls rhythmic gymnastics one of the most widespread sports in Russia.

“Your tenacity and will to win help you achieve high results and inspire others to lead a healthy lifestyle. I am sure that each of you will gain invaluable experience on the path to success. I wish you bright and dynamic performances,” emphasized Dmitry Yakovlev.

The minister added that during the championship period of the Central Federal District, the Tula Rhythmic Gymnastics Center will receive more than 500 young athletes. All of them came to the weapons capital from 17 regions of Russia.

It is specified that the strongest athletes will go to the Russian rhythmic gymnastics championship. The competition in Tula will last until Tuesday, January 23.

It is worth noting that Tula athletes also perform well at competitions of various levels. For example, in October 2023, gymnasts won bronze at the All-Russian competitions, which were held in Yaroslavl.

Then about a hundred athletes from more than 25 Russian regions took part in the All-Russian competitions in aesthetic gymnastics.
