According to the diplomat, representatives of the defense ministries of the two countries are now selecting a suitable location where the base will be located.

Previously, the CAR authorities announced their readiness to place a Russian military base on the territory of the republic. In particular, in Berengo, about 80 kilometers from Bangui, about 10 thousand troops can be stationed.

Advisor to the President of the Central African Republic Fidel Ngouandika clarified that the purpose of deploying Russian military personnel is to train soldiers of the armed forces of the republic.
