The cause of death of director Rimas Tuminas has been announced
As MK learned, world-famous director Rimas Tuminas flew from Lithuania to Italy for the planned production, accompanied by his wife and daughter.
After the flight, the director was hospitalized in a clinic, where he felt better. However, on March 6, Tuminas’ condition worsened sharply, a blood clot in his lung broke off, and doctors could not save him.
Earlier, the director of the Vakhtangov Theater Kirill Krok announced the death of Tuminas.
Let us remind you that in 2008, Lithuanian director Rimas Tuminas, at the invitation of Mikhail Ulyanov, came to the Yevgeny Vakhtangov Theater, which he headed for 13 years. During this time, he created performances based on Russian classics, which were included in the golden fund of the Russian theater – “Masquerade”, “Uncle Vanya”, “Eugene Onegin”, “War and Peace”.
