The investigation reclassified the case of the arson of the military registration and enlistment office in Nizhnevartovsk as a terrorist act. The case was transferred to the Central District Military Court, the information appeared in the card file of the court.
The defendants are Vladislav Borisenko and Vasily Gavrilishen. Earlier, the case was opened under the article on the deliberate destruction of property and hooliganism. Now, both are charged with paragraph “a”, part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“A terrorist act committed by prior agreement or by an organized group”). Cases in the proceedings were divided, the court will consider them separately.
It is worth noting that this is one of the first cases in the country of re-qualification of the case of arson of the military registration and enlistment office.
Recall that the incident occurred in May, two young people tried to set fire to the building with the help of seven Molotov cocktails, the media reported. There was no official confirmation of this information. The area of the fire was 1 square meter, no one was injured in the incident.
