Over the past year, the Mikron plant, a resident of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ, registered 16 intellectual property objects, including the first import-substituting domestic RISC-V microcontroller. “The support measures in force in Moscow allow the city’s industrialists to demonstrate good results. One of these tools is the assignment of SEZ resident status, which provides significant tax benefits. Thanks to this special status, companies can use the saved funds to develop production, increase production volumes, as well as to develop innovative products and obtain patents for them,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

He added that at the end of 2023, the Mikron plant registered twice as many intellectual property objects as in 2022. In addition, today the company is one of the participants in the photonics and microelectronics cluster.

According to the General Director of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ, Gennady Degtev, the manufacturer currently has more than 40 valid patents and 44 certificates for products that have passed state registration. The resident is working to replace foreign components and materials – he has certified and tested 26 domestic materials for the production of microelectronics. Before this, the company purchased them abroad.
