On April 9, the Nizhny Novgorod Region Football Federation published news on its information resources that was eagerly awaited. The calendar for the first part of the season in the Nizhny Novgorod Region Football Championship among amateur teams for the 2024 season has become known. For the third time in a row, the Nizhny Novgorod Region Championship will be held in two stages and divided into geographical groups. The first stages will take place in the “North” and “South” zones.
Based on the results of the first stage, all teams taking part in the championship will be divided into the Major and First Leagues. In the Major League, representatives of 8 teams will compete for the trophy, and 10 teams will compete for the title of First League champion. The championship is scheduled to start on April 29 and end on November 2. Last season, Shakhtar players became the champions of the Major League, and Motor from Zavolzhye won the First League for the second time in a row.
Newcomers to the championship were teams representing Vorsma and Nizhny Novgorod.
