Novgorodians successfully performed at all-style karate competitions in Orel

Novgorod residents successfully competed at the cup and national championship among athletes under 17 years old in all-style karate. The Ministry of Sports of the Novgorod Region spoke about this.
More than 1,500 athletes took part in the tournament, which took place in Orel. In the Russian Cup standings, Novgorodian Igor Popov won two gold medals, Nikita Boykovsky and Rita Petrosyan took third place in their weight categories.
At the national championship, Novgorod athletes won 15 awards of various denominations. At the same time, Evgeniy Basha, Darina Tsygankova and Maxim Murashov were among the candidates for the Russian national team in all-style karate. Currently, the Russian team includes seven athletes from the Novgorod region.
Members of the Novgorod team continue preparing for the Russian All-Style Karate Championship, which will take place in May in Orel.
