The Cabinet of Ministers supported the law on the introduction of fines for walking dogs without muzzles

In Russia, they plan to introduce fines for walking potentially dangerous breeds of dogs without the use of a muzzle and a leash. Such breeds include, for example, the Akbash, the American Bandog, the Ambuldog, wolf-dog hybrids and the Brazilian Bulldog. Support for the relevant bill was expressed in the Cabinet of Ministers.

State Duma deputy from the United Russia faction Sergei Kolunov said that “A federal law that establishes rules throughout the country is necessary. It will ensure our safety and the safety of our children.” According to Izvestia, the government will support the bill, provided it is finalized before being submitted to the State Duma.

Sergey Leonov, deputy chairman of the State Duma committee on health protection, one of the authors of the bill, noted that attacks by dogs of dangerous breeds are recorded daily. He said: “We receive reports of attacks by dogs of these breeds almost every day, and children are quite often their victims.”
