The building of the former restaurant “Fregat” is being renovated for Primorsky gymnasts

The old-timers of the village of Primorsky remember how in 1972 on Yubileynaya Street the doors to a new building with an alluring sign “Fregat Restaurant” were opened in a solemn atmosphere. Then the young gymnasts of the private club “Aelina” became the owners of the former banquet halls. And four years ago, by the decision of the Feodosia authorities, the MBU “Sports School No. 2” moved in here.
– We transferred only our 90 girls involved in rhythmic gymnastics to the Fregat sports complex, – director of the school Viktor Andrianov tells the correspondent of the newspaper MK in Crimea. – However, the conditions for training did not suit us: the roof was leaking, there was no heating. We began to apply to the city administration with requests for major repairs. In 2021, they got the go-ahead. The architects quickly completed the project. In February of this year, the builders of the Climate Service company began work and are already completing the facade cladding. Now the building looks like a new penny.
According to Viktor Valeryevich, the builders work conscientiously, take into account all the wishes of the customer. According to the schedule, in September the gymnasts of the sports school, who are now temporarily studying at the Palace of Culture in the village of Beregovoe, will return to their Frigate. A large gymnastics hall and three halls for choreography will be equipped for them.
After the commissioning of this facility, the reconstruction of the Albatross stadium will begin. A positive expert opinion on the project has already been received. After its implementation, young residents of Primorye will receive as a gift a football field, a universal basketball and volleyball court, a tennis court, a climbing wall, a skate area, a treadmill, and a sector for long jumps. Stands for 500 seats, scoreboards, football field lighting masts, and fences will also be installed. For help in solving problems, the school director through the newspaper conveys gratitude to the Minister of Sports of the Crimea Olga Torubarova and the deputy of the Feodosia City Council Yuri Kokin.
