The British called Truss “insane” after words about the readiness to use nuclear weapons

Users of the British segment of social networks criticized the head of the British Foreign Office and the candidate for the post of Prime Minister Liz Truss for her words about her readiness to use nuclear weapons.

The users did not understand the reactions of the hall in Birmingham, which was applauded by Truss. The post with her quote was posted on social networks by New Statesman editor Rachel Warmuth. Users have left comments below.

In particular, Brian Shepherd wrote that he did not expect any new statements from Truss. He believes she is “posing as the new Iron Lady.” In his opinion, politics “lacks understanding of what is right and what is wrong,” and for the sake of power, “it will say anything.”
