The White House may initiate an audit of the business of the American entrepreneur and founder of Space X, Elon Musk, for compliance with the national security interests of the United States. This is reported by Bloomberg, referring to the administration of President Joe Biden.
The publication stressed that the White House “became uneasy” because of the businessman’s statements about the future financing of the military use of Starlink satellites for Ukraine. It is also noted that the administration drew attention to the tweets of Elon Musk, in one of which he offered options for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine.
In addition, it is noted that the Interdepartmental Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) will conduct an audit against Space X. The Committee has the right to review transactions that have already been completed, and also prefers to work behind closed doors.
