The city of Sochi topped the ranking of the best cities in Russia for retirement
According to a study conducted on March 13 and published in “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”, Sochi is recognized as the best city in Russia for retirement. Respondents named a favorable climate as the main criterion when choosing a place to live in retirement, for which 66% of respondents voted. For half of the respondents, amenities were an important factor, and 46% expressed a preference to live by the sea.
According to the study results, 26% of respondents would like to move to Sochi after retirement. In second place in popularity was Krasnodar with 19%, and in third place was Anapa with a lag of only 1% (18%). They are followed by Mineralnye Vody (15%) and St. Petersburg (14%).
It was previously announced that Sochi and Krasnodar were named the most popular cities for winter living among Russians. This was noted as a result of the study, where one of the key criteria for choosing a city was the warm climate, which was emphasized by 53% of respondents.
