The Belgorod region remains among the leaders in the anti-doping rating

The Belgorod region is again among the leaders in the anti-doping ranking based on the results of 2023. Since last year, the number of regions in Russia that scored the maximum number of points has increased to 24.
National Anti-Doping Organization RUSADA updated the rating. Since 2018, the organization has been distributing regions depending on the effectiveness of their anti-doping policies in sports.
The assessment of the rating score depends on the implementation of information and educational events dedicated to the fight against doping, the availability of relevant specialists and the conclusion of agreements with RUSADA on cooperation in the field of countering prohibited drugs. The actions of regional Ministries of Health in conducting training of medical personnel in anti-doping programs approved by the relevant organization are also assessed.
In 2023, the Belgorod region continues to lead – since the establishment of the rating, the region has a stable maximum score of 100 points.
It is noted that in almost all constituent entities of the Russian Federation there are specialists responsible for anti-doping support and coordination of regional anti-doping programs.
Recently Belgorod athletes won 14 medals in karate competitions.
