Representatives of the Belgorod mayor’s office reported on the arrival of Father Frost in the city, who, having arrived in the Belgorod region from Veliky Ustyug, “first of all” congratulated Russian military personnel on the upcoming holidays. Videos released by local authorities show how a man dressed as a folklore character arrives in Belgorod in an armored personnel carrier (APC) with a Russian flag and gives the military a bag of tangerines.

December 4 RBC newspaper informed that the presidential administration recommended that the regional authorities “show restraint” in organizing the New Year holidays, as well as use the festive events for patriotic social consolidation. The recommendations also include provisions to support combatants in Ukraine.
