Belgorod authorities will install more than 200 modular shelters in the city
More than 200 modular shelters will be installed in Belgorod in places with the highest pedestrian traffic, that is, near bus stops and public spaces. About this in my telegram channel wrote the mayor of the city Valentin Demidov.
He noted that the places where additional shelters were needed were determined by emergency department specialists together with the regional department of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
“We plan to install five to ten modular shelters daily, depending on the capabilities of the manufacturers. There will be about 200 of them in total,” Demidov wrote.
He noted that these structures are made of high-strength concrete with reinforcement, which allows them to be strengthened. The mayor of Belgorod noted that similar structures are used by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Demidov also noted that specialists will continue to strengthen public transport stops with reinforced concrete blocks and sandbags. As of January 15, protective concrete structures were installed and reinforced with sand in 43 such places.
