Bank specialists have recorded an increase in the activity of fraudsters who inform customers about “blocking an online bank account”. To this end, attackers call bank customers, posing as employees of the contact center.
During the conversation, after the client made contact and believed them, they ask for a password from SMS, which supposedly will help restore the service.
But in the message, the press services warn their customers: in fact, scammers are trying to enter an account or fill out and confirm an online loan application in order to withdraw money to their accounts.
In this case, it is necessary to immediately hang up and promptly contact the bank through official channels to clarify the information.
