CEC Chairwoman Ella Pamfilova began to sum up the results of the September 9-11 elections. According to her, there is not a single complaint that could affect the voting results. The average turnout was 35%.
“The average turnout was 35%, that is, more than a third of those who could take part, they directly took part in the vote,” Ella Pamfilova said at a CEC meeting.
According to her, following the results of the elections, not a single complaint was received that would require consideration at a CEC meeting or affect the voting results. Ms. Pamfilova added that only the complaints in Buryatia required additional verification. The final meeting in the region was postponed to September 15, the CEC will be provided with the necessary information following the meeting.
Ella Pamfilova also said that the CEC received six “dissenting opinions”, all of which came from the Communist Party. “As for the special opinions of members of commissions with a decisive vote from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, they, in fact, do not contain any specifics, but represent a pre-prepared text template that the elections allegedly do not correspond to the true picture of the will of voters, since on voting days and during the counting of votes, violations of the electoral law were committed,” she said.
Ms. Pamfilova added that the overwhelming majority of commissions received protocols from lower structures and held meetings where they summed up the results of the elections.
