The authorities of the Orenburg region introduced a state of emergency due to the flood - Kommersant

Governor Denis Pasler signed decree on the introduction of a regional emergency regime in the Orenburg region. As a result of the spring flood, a critical situation developed in several areas of the region at once.

Currently, 543 houses and 2,274 household plots are flooded in the Orenburg region. In total, 1,473 people were evacuated from the flood zone, including 381 children. According to the head of the region, the flood situation is being monitored hourly. The authorities are using special equipment and temporary accommodation centers have been deployed.

Yesterday, April 3, Russian President Vladimir Putin heard reports from the Governor of the Altai Territory, Viktor Tomenko, and the Governor of the Orenburg Region, Denis Pasler, on the situation with floods in these regions. He also had a telephone conversation with the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov. Vladimir Putin gave all the necessary instructions to provide assistance to people in the flood zone.
