In the near future, heat supply will be restored to another 44 houses in the Klimovsk microdistrict in Podolsk, the Moscow region government reported. Thus, 90% of residential buildings in the microdistrict will be connected to heating. Today, January 7, the second boiler was launched in Podolsk.

“Of course, while it’s cold in the entrances, it’s noticeable that some of the risers don’t work. There is a lot of work to be done to warm up each apartment. We will now have a meeting with the building managers. We need to once again very clearly explain the addresses, the phasing, and the difficulties that arise,” said Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov during meetings operational headquarters.

Residents of 173 apartment buildings in Klimovsk remained without heating January 4: an accident occurred in the boiler room of the Klimovsky Specialized Cartridge Plant. Access to the plant was gained later because it is a sensitive facility.

TFR excited a criminal case regarding the incident under the article on the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements. According to investigators, the breakthrough of heating mains in Podolsk occurred due to improper operation of the boiler room by employees. Vice-Governor of the Moscow Region Evgeny Khromushin claimedthat the authorities learned about the incident a day after citizens complained on social networks.
