Rapper Vacio was given a summons to the military registration and enlistment office

Nikolai Vasiliev, also the performer of Vacio, who appeared to the public at Anastasia Ivleeva’s sensational party wearing one sock like a fig leaf, told members of the Public Monitoring Commission (POC) about the conditions of detention in the special detention center.

As Alexey Lobarev, an honored veteran of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, now a public figure and member of the Public Monitoring Committee, told MK, on ​​January 7, he and a colleague inspected special detention center No. 2 of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow. Human rights activists also managed to communicate with Nikolai Vasiliev:

“He recognized us, we were checking the special detention center where this young man served his first arrest. Nikolai is kept in solitary confinement, when we entered, he was sitting covered in papers, then he said that he was working on a new song. He recognized me, was delighted, and addressed me by my first name and patronymic.”

Next, Alexey Lobarev gives a direct speech from Vacio.

“He tells me, Alexey Yuryevich, I am not a representative of LGBT (the Supreme Court recognized the “international public movement of LGBT” as extremist and banned its activities in Russia) and never have been. I inform you that I did not post the video (we are talking about a video in which Vacio is naked), and I do not have this shameful recording.

What actually happened was the following: I was walking around the club with a friend, several people came up. I didn’t immediately realize that two of them were young men dressed as women. And one of them brazenly tore off my sock. According to my idea, the women at the event were wearing their mini panties, and I had the same thong, but homemade – elastic bands were attached to the sock. I swore at them for this action. And this video was then posted online (according to preliminary data, by a guest, ex-soloist of the group “Brilliant”).

In my defense, I will say that this is the culture of rock and roll, shocking, and a provocation was committed! Many artists live like this – for example, Sergei Shnurov is the same! I wanted to draw attention to myself, I love women, I’m looking for a woman, I deny LGBT (banned in the Russian Federation) and I don’t understand why this is attributed to me.”

According to Alexey Lobarev, Nikolai Vasiliev could not stop in his monologue and assured the members of the POC that he regretted the first act, but the second arrest was completely incomprehensible to him. The rapper’s defense position is as follows: according to him, after he served 15 days, he was taken to the military registration and enlistment office near the Belorusskaya metro station, where he was given a summons for January 9, and then taken to the police, allegedly for a professional conversation. But all the talk there ultimately boiled down to the fact that Vacio was set up by those who pulled off his homemade thong. And when, after several leading questions, Nikolai Vasiliev repeated how he cursed the provocateurs with an obscene word, he was immediately charged with this and taken to court. As for the agenda, on the day of his appearance, it turns out that the artist will be in a special detention center, and military service does not seem to threaten him: in his native Yekaterinburg, he allegedly did not pass the Military Military Test for health reasons.

Commentary by POC member Alexey Lobarev.

“As a veteran of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, regarding the persecution of party participants, I believe that in connection with new additions to legislative acts, it is necessary to give a well-calibrated, competent, legal assessment and legally qualify the actions of the participants in this event. Since now there will be precedents for these violations. People must understand and prevent such criminal acts. But in reality, I will say frankly, there is a weak official reaction in the public sphere on the part of the law enforcement bloc: no explanatory work, as, for example, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Ministry of Defense does in such cases. People are forced to rely on fake news on the Internet, where there is a lot of distortion, including that of our professional enemies.

Analyzing and putting myself in the place of my former colleagues, I note that, on the one hand, there is a huge resonance, publicity, and usually in such cases there is no delay in reacting. On the other hand, nothing was initiated in 15 days. Article 282 is operational – usually those who are caught doing this are not allowed to walk the streets. In addition, I can also foresee difficulties with qualifications: after all, the artist was undressed not on the street, not on an airplane, where citizens can complain, but in a club where the party is closed, with a certain dress code. In my opinion, the prospect of criminal prosecution is still quite vague.

As for the party itself, I strongly condemn (!) this event and understand what it would be like for the police and investigative authorities now if they nevertheless incriminate Vacio and others like him who tried to attract attention to themselves and their creativity. After all, in fact, this young man came to the party to show off and closed his place, unlike others who, for example, came in naked dresses, but were not arrested for obvious reasons.”

Let us remind you that Vacio’s arrest was provoked by his participation in Anastasia Ivleeva’s party at the Moscow club “Mutabor”. The event took place on the night of December 21 and the dress code for guests was almost naked (“almost naked”). Rapper Nikolai Vasiliev (aka Vacio) came to the event in the guise of Red Hot Chili Peppers lead singer Anthony Kiedis, wearing a Balenciaga sock over his genitals. Besides him, other stars of domestic show business in revealing outfits were present at the party. The event was widely covered in the press and filming from “Mutabor” caused a wide public outcry. It was the footage from Vacio that formed the basis for his first administrative arrest on December 22, 2023. He was charged with petty hooliganism, sentenced to 15 days and fined 200 thousand rubles for promoting non-traditional sexual relations. Anastasia Ivleeva was fined for organizing the party; she was punished with 100 thousand rubles. And on January 6, Nikolai Vasiliev was again arrested by the Lefortovo court under Part 2 of Art. 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (petty hooliganism associated with disobedience to the legal demand of a representative of the authorities). This time for 10 days.
