The authorities of the Moscow region learned about the shutdown of heating in Podolsk a day later

Vice-Governor of the Moscow Region Evgeny Khromushin said that the authorities were not informed about the power outage in the boiler room of Podolsk. According to him, they became aware of the incident a day later after citizens complained on social networks.

“The problem turned out to be that the situation was hidden, it was not brought into our unified heat supply control system for the Moscow region, where we see all incidents and make appropriate decisions,” said Mr. Khromushin journalists.

January 4 in the northeast of the city of Klimovsk (part of the urban district of Podolsk) without heating remained residents of 173 apartment buildings. The batteries in one of the entrances burst. The next day, local residents demanded that the heating be returned and those responsible be brought to justice. Administration of Podolsk introduced local emergency situation.

According to Evgeniy Khromushin, heating was returned to 45 houses. Taking into account the disruptions in the heating supply, he promised that the authorities would recalculate utility bills. The Moscow Region Prosecutor’s Office is checking the implementation of housing legislation. Head of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin instructed check cases of heating outages in the Moscow region.
