Today, at the request of the prosecutor’s office, the administration of Pechora allocated budgetary funds to assess the deterioration of buildings and signed contracts for instrumental studies of houses whose residents complained about the formation of “ice caves” in the entrances.
“Last year, we already identified violations of the law in the operation of former dormitories: 69 Pechorsky Prospekt and st. Zapadnaya, 47. In February 2022, the housing inspection examined them and established visual signs to recognize the houses as emergency. The conclusions were sent to the administration,” Natalia Spiridonova, senior assistant to the Komi prosecutor, told Kommersant.
According to her, the interdepartmental commission of the municipality, contrary to the law, did not conduct a survey of the housing stock. “The members of the commission considered that there were no signs of an accident and recommended a major overhaul,” the interlocutor told Kommersant.
According to the supervisory authority, the debts for housing and communal services at 69 Pechorsky Prospekt, where an accident occurred at heating networks this month, exceed 14 million rubles. In this regard, the prosecutor’s office will check the completeness of the measures taken by the bailiffs to collect debts from non-payers.
As before informed “Kommersant”, the situation with the problematic housing stock became known after the Izvestia video. The film crew visited the houses and then tried to get a comment from the head of the district administration. Valery Serov called the journalist “an ill-mannered idiot”, a “whore” and a “prostitute”. Pechora prosecutor’s office examined high-rise buildings on January 18.
