The authorities of the city of Minyar, Chelyabinsk region, commented on the complaint of a local resident about the illegal cutting of a tree in her garden plot. Previously, the woman stated that she had The spruce tree that my husband and father-in-law planted 40 years ago has disappearedand then she saw a tree decorated for the New Year in the city square.

How reports “Rise”, the administration of the Ashinsky municipal district and the Minyarsky urban settlement admitted that they had indeed cut down that same dacha spruce. However, officials claim that there was a misunderstanding – they were told in the village that the owners had not been seen for a long time. Thus, in the administration’s response to Podem’s request, they stated that “according to available documents” and according to “information from the chairman of the gardening partnership,” the garden plot “was considered ownerless.”

“The heirs did not properly register ownership of the land,” the administration said.

What exactly was wrong with the documents is not specified. The same response from the administration states that ownership of the site has been officially confirmed: “The fact that the site belongs to a private individual became clear after the spruce was cut down.”

In conclusion, the administration said it “regrets what happened and apologizes to the family.”

“We will try to compensate for the damage caused,” the official added. “Instead of the felled spruce, we propose to plant a new tree.”

Why the New Year’s tree for the city was not purchased from a nursery or cut down in the forest in compliance with legal regulations remains unknown.
