Dmitry Dibrov changed not only the channel, but also the environment. If earlier on camera he most often spent time with the creative intelligentsia, or at least with purely positive people, now his interlocutors are bloggers, rappers, socialites, witches and other new media stars. The bunch is just awesome!
In the program “Is this normal?” Dmitry Alexandrovich, together with Olga Buzova (not the most predictable alliance), finds out from the guests of the show how normal this or that everyday situation is, and then compares the opinion of youth idols with statistical surveys of Russians on this topic.
The topics discussed are quite important. For example, is it normal to live without sex for two years… The discussions turned out to be very lively. Ms. Buzova, in tears, made a confession that no one seemed to ask her for, the characters of the program did not particularly choose their words and gestures, someone’s face was broken…
All this is not so much funny as it is unexpected. It would seem that just recently producers were talking with serious faces about monumental changes in the talk show format. Like, times are difficult, we need new heroes and themes. And all these pop stars and other tabloid audiences are no longer interesting to anyone. But it turns out that without bloggers, rappers and clairvoyants it is still difficult. And the good old scuffle, which seems to have worked its way back in the first issues of “The Big Wash” and “Windows,” still inspires as a way to impress the audience.
And, of course, Dmitry Dibrov. In this situation, he looks like an aristocrat who clearly has the wrong door. But no matter how much the characters in the studio yell, swear, or fight, Dibrov is like water off a duck’s back. His charisma, apparently, can withstand even more than that, and his work skills turn out to be useful even in such a program. These skills may be simple, but lately they are very rare: speaking competent Russian, listening to questions without interrupting, giving short and clear answers. In general, work as a voice of reason in the midst of chaos. And the dapper dad’s suit looked not bad at all amidst the madness of the youth party.
MALAKHOV TURNES INTO YAKUBOVICH
While Dmitry Dibrov was talking with young people, Andrei Malakhov was immersed in retro, which is what he traditionally does in his show “Hello, Andrei.” True, they decided to devote the latest issue to fashion, which was a little unusual in these settings.
However, Malakhov and Co. were not at all interested in the laurels of the “Fashionable Verdict”. Hints of style and outfits were found in hits of varying degrees of vintage, and some of them, including “Hat” by the group “Na-Na” and “Suit” from “Dune”, were performed with great enthusiasm.
Two documentary stories returned to the topic of fashion itself: one about the Soviet deficit in the eighties, the other about the post-war opening of GUM in 1953. In the first, citizens complained about the lack of shoes, children’s socks and raincoats in their size. In the second, staged Soviet prosperity reigned as a sign of the party’s tireless concern for the interests of the working people. Both looked rather sad, but in the studio, standing in lines and altering clothes was remembered with jokes and jokes. This is probably something like a trend: it is now customary to talk about the USSR with a bright, nostalgic smile.
But if the stories were about scarcity, then in the program itself there was real abundance, and not only in terms of songs. Andrey was given homespun scarves, homemade bracelets, warm shoes and a lot of different food. People’s kindness will soon cover the TV presenter as generously as Leonid Yakubovich. True, Malakhov, as a reciprocal gesture, dashingly dances with the artists, sings along and drinks to the dregs, if necessary.
