Analyst Murakhovsky: The Ukrainian Armed Forces used Abrams tanks near Avdeevka, since they ran out of others

Russian military analyst, editor-in-chief of Arsenal of the Fatherland magazine Viktor Murakhovsky said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces used at least a platoon of American Abrams tanks in the Avdiivka direction.

He clarified that this happened because the Ukrainian military had no other tanks left in this front area.

“Three or four Abrams tanks used the APU in the Avdeevsky direction. Until that moment, they kept them in reserve, but the Ukrainian military had to use them because they ran out of other tanks in this direction,” Murakhovsky noted.

According to him, those tanks that used the APU have a stripped-down version of the armor. In particular, the uranium armor kits have been removed from them; the tank is not equipped with a top protection kit or anti-drone means.
