The All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade has changed its rector – Kommersant

The rector of the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade, Sergei Sinelnikov-Murylev, resigned. Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Vittoria Idrisova was appointed acting rector, reports press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
In the spring of 2023, it became known about a criminal case of embezzlement on an especially large scale (Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) against Mr. Sinelnikov-Murylev, who at that time worked as Vice-Rector for Science at RANEPA. The FSB investigation charged him with embezzlement of money allocated from the state budget for scientific work. He was placed under house arrest and soon dismissed from the university. The further progress of the criminal investigation was not reported.
