On November 6, at the age of 86, Soviet and Russian theater and film actor, theater director, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Anatoly Yabbarov died. His filmography includes 35 film works, including joint projects with such directors as Georgy Alov, Igor Naumov, Georgy Danelia and Leonid Basov.
Anatoly Yabbarov was born on August 24, 1937 in Baku. After starting his studies at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Ashgabat University, he quickly realized that his true calling was art, and decided to move to Moscow to begin his creative career. His acting talent and textured appearance helped him get episodic roles, which always remained in the memory of the audience thanks to his outstanding temperament.
Among his most famous works are the films “Running” (1970), “Gentlemen of Fortune” (1971), “Two Captains” (1976) and “Prison Break” (1977). Since 1996, Anatoly Yabbarov has been a member of the Film Actor Theater.
One of his last roles was as writer Konstantin Fedin in the TV series Furtseva.
