Oncologist Kaprin named the symptoms of prostate cancer in men
One of the most common cancers among men is prostate cancer. How to recognize a dangerous type of tumor, which was diagnosed in 48 thousand Russians in 2022, was told by the chief freelance oncologist of the Ministry of Health Andrei Kaprin, writes “Doctor Peter”.
According to the expert, the specific symptoms characteristic of this type of cancer do not appear immediately, but a little later. Men may complain of frequent or difficult urination, a strong urge to urinate, nocturia, blood in the urine, and urinary incontinence.
The oncologist advised all men, starting from 45 years old, to regularly take a blood test for prostate specific antigen (PSA) and do an ultrasound of the pelvic organs.
You should see a doctor immediately if your PSA level is more than 4 ng/ml, Kaprin concluded.
