The anniversary, 55th winter motocross started in Vyborg on Quartermaster Mountain on Friday, February 23. The event was reported in the press service of the district administration.
The sporting event is held annually on Defender of the Fatherland Day. During the grand opening of the motocross event, the first Russian Formula 1 pilot, Vitaly Petrov, took part. He gave the athletes parting words, wished them victory, and also congratulated everyone present on the holiday.
The youngest athletes became the first participants in the race. In total, about 80 people demonstrated their talents.
Earlier, “MK in the Leningrad Region” reported that the winter sports competition among doctors was held for the sixth time spent in Toksovo.
