Thai police stepped up crackdown on tourist offenders

Tourists going on vacation to Thailand will have to seriously control their behavior while visiting this country. The Thai police have decided to strengthen the fight against violations in the tourism sector. It is reported by The Phuket News.

According to the publication, first of all, the police will identify crimes committed by foreign tourists and against foreign tourists. Separate attention will be paid to the illegal stay of tourists in the country after the tourist visa has expired. Such incidents have become more frequent in recent years.

Earlier, Deputy Chief of the Kingdom’s Tourism Police, Major General Pongsiam Mikanthong, announced the launch of a campaign to combat the criminalization of the tourism industry.
