Airborne self-propelled artillery gun (SAO) 2S42 “Lotos” has passed preliminary tests. Its state tests are planned to be carried out in the third quarter of 2023, according to TsNIItochmash (part of the Kalashnikov concern).
The company said that the preliminary tests of the CAO 2S42 were completed “in full with a positive result.” “Now work is underway to eliminate the comments received during the preliminary tests,” clarified TASS in the press office of the company.
SAO “Lotos” was developed for the airborne troops. The calculation of the CAO consists of four people.
