Footballers from Ivanovo “Textilshchik” continue to play in the “Silver” division of the Second League “A”. The team from Ivanovo did not perform well in the fall and were unable to complete the task set by the management. They wanted to see the Red-Blacks in the “Golden” division, among those who would fight to get into the First League, but Igor Kolyvanov’s team, 2 rounds before the finish, lost all chances of promotion in class and only in the last round retained their registration in the “Silver” division, beating an outsider at home.
In the 2024 season, Tekstilshchik started well and after two matches has 4 points, taking 2nd place in the standings. Igor Kolyvanov’s team beat Torpedo Miass on the road, and shared points with Dynamo Bryansk at home. In the upcoming home match, Tekstilshchik will have to meet with another Silver debutant – FC Kaluga, which became a triumphant in Group No. 3 in the fall. In the two opening matches, Kaluga lost to Avangard and scored one point in the match against Torpedo Miass, settling in 9th position.
The meeting of the 3rd round of the “Silver” division between “Textilshchik” and “Kaluga” will take place on March 18. The meeting is scheduled to start at 18:00 Moscow time.
