The 2023-2024 season has become revolutionary for the volleyball players of the Ivanovo Tekstilshchik. The team from Ivanovo moved to a completely different level, receiving a promotion in class. In the summer, Ivanovo’s Tekstilshchik received the status of a professional club and began preparing for the opening matches of the Russian Championship among Major League B teams. The club from Ivanovo became the bronze medalist of the First League and was immediately able to adapt to the Major League “B”.
Based on the results of 22 matches played, the volleyball players of the Ivanovo “Textilshchik” take 3rd place in the standings of the Major League “B”. The red-blacks suffered only 4 defeats, being weaker than Dagestan, Kristall-Cherkizovo and Dynamo-MSTU from Maykop. Tekstilshchik finished the calendar year 2023 in 3rd position, gaining only 2 points less than its closest competitors from VC Obninsk.
The Tekstilshchik volleyball players can win back the gap and reach 2nd place on January 13, when they play in a head-to-head confrontation with their opponents from Obninsk on their home court. The next round of the Major League “B” in Ivanovo will take place at the end of January.
