The Ivanovo Tekstilshchik football players have been training for several days as part of the first training camp aimed at preparing for the start of the spring part of the 2023-2024 season. Tekstilshchik will spend the second part of the championship in the Silver Division of the Second League A due to the fact that in the fall it was unable to complete the task set by the management. Based on the results of 18 matches played, Tekstilshchik took only 5th place, losing to FC Chelyabinsk by only 1 point.
In the first friendly match of the winter off-season, Tekstilshchik will face opponents playing in the First League. Igor Kolyvanov’s team will test their strength against the backdrop of Saratov “Sokol”, which is fighting for survival in the first division. This meeting will be only the second in the history of confrontations between Tekstilshchik and Sokol. The teams did not overlap in the First League, and in the Second League they always played in different groups. The only friendly match between Tekstilshchik and Sokol took place on March 6, 2023 and ended with a score of 0:0.
