The 2023-2024 season has become a time of great changes for the Ivanovo Tekstilshchik. The Red-Blacks were unable to complete the task of moving to the First League, and Igor Kolyvanov miraculously retained his post, although fans and the football community called for the mentor to resign.
During the summer transfer window, Tekstilshchik signed contracts with a large number, changing the starting lineup by approximately 70-80%, however, this time Igor Kolyvanov’s team was unable to complete the task, losing their chances of entering the Golden Division in one tour until the end of the summer-autumn part of the season.
One of the brightest newcomers to Tekstilshchik in the summer of 2023 was Nikita Simdyankin. Before Tekstilshchik, the left winger played in the Georgian Championship, being a graduate of Zenit St. Petersburg. In 18 matches of the 2023-2024 season, Nikita Simdyankin scored 4 goals and gave 1 assist.
Nikita Simdyankin spoke about the city of Ivanovo.
“I really like it. I grew up in a similar city – in Saransk. It’s small, compact, cozy. Everything is close, there are no big traffic jams,” Nikita said.
