Team of Karelia excelled at the Championship and Championship of Russia in Kyokushin

Excellent results were shown by Karelian sportsmen at the Championship and Championship of Russia in Kyokushin. In total, more than 300 participants from 25 regions of our country were ready to fight for the title of the best. So, in the group “Sport is the norm of life in Karelia”, information was published that the national team of our republic managed to be in the first team place at the Championship of Russia according to the results of starts.

Competitions were held on May 20 at the Moscow Martial Arts Center. Saveliy Sarvas and Ekaterina Mironova return home with gold awards. They competed in the 12-13 age group. As for the age category of 14-15 years, Kirill Bogdanov showed the best result among boys. Fighting for the title of the strongest among the participants of 16-17 years old, Roman Shmakov and Sofia Ivanova won the gold medal, and Maria Kondrashova took the third place.

Karelian sportsmen showed themselves best of all in the kata group: Saveliy Sarvas, Danila Klevin, Ivan Musinov. Athletes in the kata group did not reach the bronze medalists a little: Oksana Dolgopolova, Zhanna Dolgopolova and Timofey Petrov – they settled in 4th place.
